My Studio Entrance – Detroit, MI
3434 Russell Street is our home now. It just feels right. The move went very smoothly, the
space feels roomy even though square footage is only half again what we had in Royal
Oak. I guess 14 ft. ceilings can do that for you.
We have an interesting group of neighbors. Some are residential tenants, sleep here at
night and leave for work in the morning. Others, like us, are businesses and arrive in the
am for a day of labor and leave for homes and dinner in the evening. So the parking lot is
full around the clock.
Speaking of neighbors, Whole Foods’ new Detroit store is about 3 blocks away. They’ll be
kitty-corner from Starbucks, FedEx, Bank of America, Comerica Bank and American Red
Cross. It’s an area filled with activity and we’re delighted to be part of it.
And when I stayed late one evening a couple of weeks ago, I noted the bright setting sun
creating a warm friendly image for me. I ran back upstairs for a camera and made this
photo. I hope you find it as welcoming as I did.
