Still photography requires a specific way of seeing. Technology, combined with graphics and composition, results in a distinct point of view. As a still shooter, I have that distinct point of view and can capture it using the art of lens selection and creative lighting. What you may not know is that I can also apply those well-honed still photo concepts to video, making the motion more visually interesting and compelling.
See for yourself how still concepts can make video memorable. In this video, Christ Church Grosse Pointe (which is on the National Registry of Historic Places) has twelve 75-year-old stained-glass windows in need of restoration. I filmed this intricate process at Rohlf's Stained and Leaded Glass Studios in Mt. Vernon, New York. Rohlf's is a company dedicated to stained-glass window restoration and preservation.
I now offer both video and still photography capabilities. Clients who use both services from me find they save both time and money. And, best of all, they get the benefit of my singular perspective.
