Interior Design - Electro-Matic Products - Farmington Hills, MI
When a long-time client was holding an open house to introduce a new facility, they contacted me to photograph the event. It was a distinct pleasure to document this milestone for Electro-Matic Products (EMP) of Farmington Hills, MI.
Over the years, I've taken on many challenging and varied assignments from EMP, including studio photos of their many products, personnel photos, and in-plant production. Last summer, they asked me to photograph on-site installations of LED lighting and a long list of Hyperion Plus electronic displays. I shot them as both still photos and video, and the project lasted most of the summer, taking me to various points in Michigan and as far West as Racine, WI.
Restaurants, schools, churches, clinics, insurance agencies and automobile dealerships all utilize EMP's custom signs and LED lighting. Last summer's shoot was intended to establish an extensive library of images — photos and videos — to use for future marketing and sales efforts. The images needed to highlight a broad range of applications serving a wide array of industries. I wasn't surprised to see many of my photos being used in display materials at the Manufacturing in America Symposium at Ford Field in Detroit in mid-March. After all, this was the purpose of my assignment — to provide their marketing team with the tools to showcase EMP's vast capabilities.
What I didn't expect, however, was to see my photos beautifully integrated into the interior design of EMP's new facility. They were a highlight of last week's open house. Electro-Matic Products has invested wisely in their library of images, and that investment will continue to pay dividends well into the future.
