Arvin Sango Technical Center - Washtenaw, MI
What I love about industry, and I am always learning new stuff.
My client ACS, design/builder of sophisticated testing facilities, called to document their latest project for Arvin Sango in Whitmore Lake, MI. There was a very narrow window for photos. The building had to be finished, or nearly so, and there couldn’t be actual testing of client’s materiel owing to extreme secrecy in the automotive industry they serve. Arvin Sango then had an open house to show prospective clients their new capability, without revealing any current work in progress. And the photos I made were part of their open house.
Arvin Sango’s area of expertise is exhaust systems and this building is their Technology Center, where the latest ideas become manufactured products. Most interesting to me (hey, what do I know) was the anechoic chamber where noise goes to die. I’ve photographed similar installations before but this had a whole level of sophistication. Instead of a concrete floor, I walked on steel mesh above another layer of sound absorbing panels.
Maybe you’ve got a project you’re very proud of. And maybe it’s state of art. Let’s make it look as advanced as it really is. All you have to do is call.
