Blue Felted Handbag - Nancy Knits - St. Clair Shores, MI
A year or so ago, my wife Nancy and I discussed a business concept of felted purses to monetize her knitting hobby. She’d knit the handbags and felt them. Then we’d market them over the Internet using her knitting communities, Ravelry and Etsy. We'd call the enterprise Nancy Knits.
Nancy made several samples, and gave away a few to close friends to gauge market acceptance. She also gave me a few to photograph. Her felted handbags were works of art, and it was up to me to capture the texture, color and presence of each piece.
After doing considerable research on our project, we decided the market would never support our price and we tabled the idea. But market or no, the handbags still grab viewer attention as objects of art.
Maybe you’re taking a new idea to market. Whether it’s a go or no go, you’ll want it to look as good as possible. I can give your baby its best possible chance to succeed.
